A Ukranian arms depot exploded on Thursday in what officials are calling an act of sabotage. The base was in Balakliya in eastern Ukraine, and the explosion has forced the evacuation of nearly 20,000 people. Fortunately there are no reports of injuries associated with the gigantic blast.
Everyone in a six mile radius has been evacuated, and Ukrainian officials are looking for the cause of the explosion. Arms from the dump were used by Ukrainian troops fighting Russian-backed separatists in a conflict zone some 60 miles away. In 2015, a drone reportedly made an attempt to set this same facility on fire. And while airspace is closed for a 30 mile radius around the area, officials are entertaining the possibility that the explosion was started by a drone with a bomb.
