If you want to buy legal cannabis in Nova Scotia come July, you'll likely need to travel to pick some up.

The Nova Scotia Liquor Corp. is only making pot available at a fraction of its more than 100 retail outlets, the province announced Tuesday. Cannabis will be available at the following stores, along with beer, wine and spirits.

■Amherst — 126 South Albion St.

■Dartmouth — 650 Portlland St.

■Halifax — 3601 Joseph Howe Dr.

■Lower Sackville — 745 Sackville Dr.

■New Glasgow — 610 East River Rd.

■Sydney River — 95 Keltic Dr.

■Truro — 6 Court St.

■Yarmouth — 104a Starrs Rd.

The corporation will be reopening the Clyde Street liquour store in downtown Halifax as a cannabis-only operation.

The 60 agency stores, which are mostly in smaller rural communities, will not be allowed to sell marijuana.

People will also be able to buy online and have their cannabis delivered to their homes, but details of that operation are not yet available.

The NSLC is looking for contractors to bid on the renovation work that will be needed to keep cannabis and liquor sales separate.

A federally appointed task force has recommended a ban on co-locating cannabis with alcohol and tobacco products.
